The International Film Festival of #BlackMuslimGirlFly

Audaz Entertainment, Inc. Presents:

Black Muslim Girls and Women.

Our stories are not told. In Film. On TV.  In Fiction.

LET’S CHANGE THAT.

*With the International Film Festival of #BlackMuslimGirlFly, EVERY Black Girl with a story will have the opportunity for the whole world to watch her films. To see, hear, and feel her stories.*

International Film Festival #BMGFly

Submissions for the IFFB Fest open up on SEPTEMBER 20, 2018

The Festival will take place December 14, 2018, in Los Angeles, CA and around the world. Our Board of Directors, Filmmakers themselves, will host Opening and Closing Nights Ceremonies, Live and Simulcast!

*Ambassadors in diverse cities and countries will host watch parties as we live stream the Opening Night ceremonies from the only Black Muslim Owned Cafe in Southern California, Hot & Cool Cafe in the historic Leimert Park.

THIS IS AMERICA. TRUMP’S AMERICA.

As El-Hajj Malik Shabazz (Malcolm X) once said profoundly, “The most disrespected person in America is the black woman. The most unprotected person in America is the black woman. The most neglected person in America is the black woman.”

WE ARE THE LAST ON THE TOTEM POLE WHEN IT COMES TO FINANCIAL WEALTH IN AMERICA, AND AS ARTISANS, THE LEAST LIKELY TO HAVE ENOUGH FUNDING TO GREENLIGHT A PROJECT.*
*unless you’re Oprah Winfrey.

**THIS IS WHY WE NEED YOUR FUNDS:

We need funds to pay for venues, catering, awards for the winning filmmakers, the red carpet, the step-and-repeat, the event photographer, the audience’s viewing platform, the marketing and advertisement, the stipends to pay our Board of Directors, (this is hard work!) the gifts for our winners, for our jurors, for our panelists.

*All the films will be available to the public for viewing and voting, ONLINE! And, we have invitations going out to several special celebrity guests to attend as jurors and panelists. The Festival Weekend will be packed full of events, info, and a wide array of films to watch, bringing fresh new stories for our very, under-served audience.*

BE A PART OF HISTORY! CONTRIBUTE! THOSE WHO JOIN US IN FUNDING THIS PROJECT WILL BE REWARDED, AND NOT JUST BY THE EXPERIENCE ALONE.

#BlackMuslimGirlFly® – “A Butterfly Amidst Iniquity”

Nia Malika Dixon, an independent writer-director, chronicles two brief stories, of two very different Black Muslim Women in L.A., that culminate at the gathering of the First Annual L.A. Black Iftar, the gathering to break the fast during the holy month of Ramadan. (The film was shot during the Last Ten Nights of Ramadan, the most, blessings-filled nights of the month!) *Cafe Hot and Cool, a Black Muslim owned Cafe, serves as the beautiful backdrop for the unique event.
